5:00 pm – 6:30 pm Beach Party Kick-Off with beach volleyball on the beach, and classic picnic games (like badminton, croquet, bocce ball, etc) in the lawn area. There will be activities for each decade (30s Midsingles, 40s, 50s, 60+) for people to meet and mingle of a similar age before the dinner and entertainment @ Doheny State Beach. Feel free to arrive earlier (like 4 pm or so) to beat the traffic and have fun in the sun!

6:00 pm – 8:30 pm Caribbean Inspired Catered Dinner (served from 6:00 - 7:30 pm) with Caribbean Steele Drum Band and Caribbean Dance Showcase (7:45 pm - 8:15 pm) performed by Caribbean Jems, along with some mixer games during dinner @ Doheny State Beach, located in the grassy pavillion area away from the sand. :)
Note: Unless you are playing beach v-ball in the sandy area, everyone else at the conference at Doheny State Beach is wearing their same nice causal clothes at Doheny as they are wearing at the dance at the Laguna Niguel Stake Center.
Here's a sneak peak of Caribbean Jems' Dance Showcase. Definitely puts everyone in the island feelin' as a kick-off to the OC Conference!

Note: Unless you are playing beach v-ball in the sandy area, everyone else at the conference at Doheny State Beach is wearing their same nice causal clothes at Doheny as they are wearing at the dance at the Laguna Niguel Stake Center.

Insider driving tip: if you are coming from points North of Doheny Beach on Friday Afternoon to avoid the El Toro "Y" Traffic where the 405 and 5 Fwys merge in Irvine, do take the 73 Toll Road instead. ($4.50/car). During rush hour traffic, it will save you 30+ minutes. You can drive from the hotel in Costa Mesa to Doheny Beach in Dana Point in only 20-25 minutes via the 73 (then merge back with the 5 and take the PCH exit in Dana Point).
Insider parking tip: to avoid the $15/car parking fee at Doheny State Beach proper, there’s metered parking next door in the parking lot on Puerto Place ($1/hr), or free parking up the hill on Park Lantern or along S. Coast Hwy.

9:15 – 9:45 Elite Singles (60+), 9:15 – 9:45 50s Singles (late 40s-60),10:00 – 10:30 40s Singles (late 30s-50), 10:45 – 11:15 30s Midsingles (30-early40s), 11:30 – 12:00 (all-age 31+)

Insider driving tip: The fastest and easiest way from Doheny State Beach to the Laguna Niguel Stake Center is to take PCH (Hwy 1) S to the 5 Fwy N to the 73 N Toll Road ($2 Toll), then take Aliso Creek Rd Exit. Turn right on Aliso Creek Rd, Laguna Niguel Stake Center is located on the right. Short 15 minute drive.
For those not wanting to pay the toll, you can take PCH (Hwy 1) S, to 5 Fwy N. Take Alicia Pkwy exit, turn left heading towards Laguna Hills. Turn right on Paseo De Valcenia. Turn left on Laguna Hills Dr (becomes Aliso Viejo Pkwy in AV). Turn right on Aliso Creek Rd, Laguna Niguel Stake Center is located on the right. 24 minute drive.
